Interlibrary Loan

All patrons wanting to read a book or watch a DVD, that is not in the Hampton Public Library's collection, can ask the librarian if the library can interlibrary the books or dvds from another library in the State of Iowa. There is no charge for this service.  All patrons who wish to interlibrary loan an item must have a current Hampton Public Library card.  If not from Hampton or rural Franklin County then the patron must go to their hometown library to interlibrary loan an item.  Your hometown library is determined by where you pay your taxes.

The Hampton Public Library believes in full access to information.  Therefore, we support and encourage Interlibrary Loan Services for all residents.  Patrons can only have up to 3 requests at any one time.  Unreturned ILL books or other materials will result in a replacement fee as determined by the lending library for any lost or damaged materials.
