Hampton Public Library is open from 10-5:30pm. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Wednesday 10-7pm. and Friday 10-3pm. Curbside is also available Monday through Thursday 10:00 am to 5:30 pm and on Friday 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.


The Hampton Public Library's Board of Trustees will meet in a regular session on Wednesday, May 19th @ 5:15pm in the Library.  A tentative agenda includes;  Warrants to be paid for May, continued discussion on Covid policy, & monthly library reports.  This meeting is open to the public with social distancing and mask wearing required.  The meeting is held upstairs by the fireplace.

Out of an abundance of caution for your safety as well as the staff's, the Hampton Public Library is open; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 10 to 5:30pm,  Wednesday, 10-7pm. and Friday 10 to 3pm.  This visit is limited to 15 minutes unless it is to use a computer or read the paper then a 30 minute visit is allowed.  Everyone is required to wear a mask.  At present the library is still offering curbside service for your requested books, dvds, or magazines. To request items you can use the catalog to reserve items on this website or call the library to reserve items. Curbside is offered Monday through Thursday 10am to 5:30pm and Friday 10am to 3pm.  The Library is closed Saturdays and Sundays at the present time.

The Friends of the Hampton Public Library now have an online store! Thanks to Got U Covered.  The website is  On the site there are some new t-shirts as well as older favorite designs.  

Only about 51% of families read aloud daily to their young children. With that in mind, the Hampton Public Library in partnership with First Bank Hampton is offering a program for children birth through Kindergarten.  The program " 1000 Books before Kindergarten" encourages parents and guardians to regularly read to their young children.  By reading just one book a night, families can reach their 1000 book challenge in three years.  Reading to your children is the best activity to ensure their success in school and in life.  Contact the Library for details.  The program is free!

WifiThe Hampton Public Library offers 24 hour access to WiFi.  If you don't have a computer, the Library provides one for you during our normal operating hours.

Free MusicFree downloadable music and 3 hours daily of streaming music, but you must have a library card. This service is provided by the Foundation of the Hampton Public Library.
