Only about 51% of families read aloud daily to their young children. With that in mind, the Hampton Public Library in partnership with First Bank Hampton is offering a program for children birth through Kindergarten.  The program " 1000 Books before Kindergarten" encourages parents and guardians to regularly read to their young children.  By reading just one book a night, families can reach their 1000 book challenge in three years.  Reading to your children is the best activity to ensure their success in school and in life.  Contact the Library for details.  The program is free!
